Making Your Old Ride Work For Your Wedding

By Tori Aaron

Weddings, as lovely and as romantic as they are, are also very costly. That is a established fact. Everything reeks of a dollar sign from the day leading to the wedding event when the boyfriend proposes to the girl with an engagement ring to the honeymoon break. But as scary as any dollar sign looks on your bill, you can always cut needless costs.

Cutting cost shouldn't be painful. You can still have the dream wedding you wish, just look for the cheaper version. Cutting cost may mean having roses or carnation rather than the easily-wilt tulips. Or, you can look for bargain stores that can present you a deduction if you really like that variety. Mementos may be handmade, dresses may be sewn or leased, catering may be home-cooked, and arrangers and music may be friend volunteers. Everything can be bought or made cheaper. Well, almost.

There are items that, no matter how much you try, stay expensive. Your wedding car can cost you from a few hundred dollars to more than a thousand. Even if you look for a cheaper car lease, it will still cost your hundreds of dollars.

So why not use your own old but working automobile instead? Turn something old into vintage. The difference is old is outdated, but vintage is retro. People are going for retro nowadays so even if your vehicle is already decades old, you can save money by turning it into your wedding car rather than renting.

Start by grooming your treasured car. What's actually great about this is that not only will you save hundreds of dollars in rental, you get to restore your auto's beauty also. This lasts for more than a few meager hours likewise. You need to groom your car on a regular basis anyway, so why not just use it for your big day?

Nowadays, everything vintage is valued. You don't have to worry even if your car doesn't scream high-end. Your old Volks would even do if it is still in good working condition. You can't even blame its paint color if it's not in the conventional white. While only white would do in the yesteryears, any other color available will likewise do so no need for a fresh paintjob.

You would need the necessary ornaments, of course. Add the "Just Married" banner and the flowers on the hood and you're good to go.
