Fire trucks extinguish fire. On receiving information of the break out of fire, fire fighters rush to the location in fire trucks. These fire fighters are trained and are professionals. The equipments include fire extinguishers, axes, pike poles, ladders, cutting equipments, floodlights, breathing apparatus, hose ramps and ventilating equipments besides general tools. Fire trucks may have onboard water reservoirs which they can use immediately to douse out the fire. Some fire trucks use draft water suction to extract water from water sources such as the river, reservoir, water tenders or fire hydrants. Fire trucks often come with hydraulic systems that can extend ladders which are mounted onto the fire truck to reach tall buildings which are otherwise not easily accessible. Impulse fire-extinguishing system is a modern method where water is converted into water vapor by producing water mist by pressurizing water to a high degree. The water mist is more effective than water in extinguishing fire.

Standard trucks are converted to fire trucks. The fire trucks are equipped to communicate with the outside using a two way radio. The color, usually red, and design of the fire truck makes them easily identifiable for what they are. They flash warning lights and sound the warning sirens and horns to make them seen and heard from a distance so that the traffic moves to the side of the road and give way. Fire trucks are designated as emergency vehicles and so they have priority right of way over other vehicles.

The fire emergency vehicles are an essential service that responds to prevent major catastrophes. Fire trucks are manufactured by specialized vehicle manufacturers. The fire trucks are owned and operated by fire department. Fire trucks are stationed in designated places. They have the responsibility of responding to fire mishaps in specified geographical areas. Used fire trucks are in demand for their antique value as well as by private parties who wish to have their own fire trucks. The websites are an important place where sellers and buyers meet.

The community places a great faith on the fire fighters and their trucks. The fire fighters and their trucks are highly regarded for the emergency service they provide when in dire need.

Fire can be hard to put off. So, we should always make sure that fire will not occur.
